Gerri Alfino and Tom McDermott Appointed EF Co-chairs 

  

NEW YORK (December 30, 2024) – The Executive Forum (EF) announced the appointment of Gerri Alfino and Tom McDermott to the EF Board where they will serve as Co-Chairs of the EF. Gerri and Tom have completed a 5-month transition period as Co-Chairs Elect and will move into the leadership role effective January 1, 2025.

 

“We’re excited to give back in our new role as Board Co-Chairs especially because we have been lucky enough to benefit in so many ways, both personally and professionally, during our many years of membership in the EF,” said Co-Chairs, Executive Forum Gerri Alfino and Tom McDermott. “We are thrilled to reconnect with so many of friends and colleagues as well as make new connections across the EF membership and are honored to help steer the EF ship forward to its next stage of evolution.”

 

Gerri has been an EF member since 2014. She has prior EF Board service as Secretary from 2019 – 2021. In addition, she served on the FMIT Experience Committee. Gerri also has a wealth of non-profit board experience, serving as a former Board member of the Financial Women’s Association, former Chair of its Business and Government Affairs Committee, former Trustee of St. Patrick’s Parish, Bedford, NY, and is currently Co-Chair, of the Parish Council. Gerri is a financial services attorney with over 30 years of strong governance experience and active involvement in clients’ Boards of Directors.

  

Tom is a long-standing member of the EF having joined in 2007. Tom served as the MIT/New Members Chair in 2008-2009. In addition, he has over 15 years of board leadership experience, serving as a leading non-profit small business lender in the roles of Governance Committee Chair, Strategy Committee Chair, and Vice Chair. Tom has been an Operating Executive for over 30 years in CPG, Tech and Financial Services. In addition, he has more than eight years of experience in the capital markets and investment banking sectors.
